Privacy Policy

How BL Sports processes technical request data, in-browser sports decisions, support communications, and public athlete information.

Effective and last updated August 31, 2026

Who operates this service

BL Sports is operated by Michael Barber under the BlackLabel Tech product network. This policy covers the public website at michaelbarber.tech and its same-origin application programming interfaces.

What the current service processes

  • Network and security data: IP address, request time, requested path and query, user-agent, response status, and similar diagnostic signals may be processed by Cloudflare when it delivers and protects the site.
  • In-browser decisions: league filters, searches, fantasy draft choices, comparison lists, model adjustments, and parlay research inputs are ordinarily held in the active browser session. The current site has no BL Sports account system or saved betting profile.
  • API inputs: same-origin requests may include league, team, market, event, search, or simulation parameters needed to return the requested research. Parameters placed in a URL may also appear in ordinary request logs.
  • Communications: if you email us, we receive the address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to send.
  • Public sports information: the service displays public or licensed team, player, schedule, odds, weather, injury-status, and performance information. That is product content, not a consumer health record.

Purposes and legal uses

We use data to deliver requested pages and APIs, refresh sports sources, maintain security, diagnose faults, answer messages, enforce these terms, and improve the service. BL Sports does not use the current site to place bets, take stakes, pay winnings, build advertising profiles, or sell personal information.

Providers and disclosures

Cloudflare hosts, routes, caches, and secures the service. Server-side collectors contact sports, sportsbook, weather, and research sources to obtain product data; the public browser normally calls BL Sports endpoints rather than submitting a user profile to those sources. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or people, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

The current source does not include a third-party behavioral-advertising tracker. Because BL Sports does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals do not change an advertising profile here.

Retention and security

The current site does not create a persistent first-party account or wager ledger. Browser-session state ends when the page session is discarded. Infrastructure security and diagnostic records follow the hosting provider's operational retention, and support email is retained only as reasonably needed to answer, document, secure, or meet legal obligations. We use transport encryption, access controls, restrictive browser headers, and data minimization, but no Internet system is risk-free.

Health information and HIPAA boundary

Public athlete injury and availability reporting is sports research. BL Sports is not a patient portal, medical provider, health plan, or personal health-record service, and the public product is not offered to receive protected health information on behalf of a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. Do not submit personal medical information. If the product ever adds consumer health-record functions or a regulated relationship, the privacy and breach-notification obligations must be reassessed before launch.

Your choices and requests

You can avoid placing personal details in search fields, URL parameters, simulations, or email. To ask what information we hold from a direct communication, or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, email michael@blacklabelbots.com. We may need enough information to verify and locate the request. Rights vary by jurisdiction.

Children and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13. Betting-related content is for people who meet every applicable age and location rule. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised date.

Public-page analytics

We use PostHog to measure visits and purchase, signup, and contact actions on public marketing pages. A random identifier is stored in sessionStorage for the browser tab session. Events contain the public page path without query strings, referring hostname, browser user agent, viewport width, and action or form identifier. Form submission events record an attempt, not a completed purchase or delivered message. We do not send form values, names, email addresses, document contents, private account pages, or recordings of your session through this measurement. PostHog receives the network request; IP-based geolocation and person profiles are disabled. Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, and this browser opt-out disable public-page measurement.
