Compare equivalent sports lines
Check the event, line, period and timestamp before comparing prices.
Two prices are comparable only when they refer to the same proposition. A full-game total, first-half total and player prop settle differently. Keep the line value and event identifiers visible when reviewing a market.
Work through it
- Match the sport, participants, start time, market type and period. Confirm whether overtime and other settlement conditions are included.
- Compare the same line value. A better payout at a materially different handicap is not a direct price improvement.
- Record the source and timestamp. Recheck availability before treating a displayed price as current, especially when feeds update at different intervals.
Check your result
- Market terms are equivalent.
- The line value is preserved.
- Stale or unavailable prices are labeled.
